The conditional perfect expresses what should or would have happened.


Conditional perfect examples:
to eat

Yo habría gastado el dinero.
I should have spent the money.

Juan lo habría hecho por Ud.
John would have done it for you.

How it is Formed


It is formed by combining the conditional tense of the verb haber plus the past participle.


First conjugation (ar) Verbs

hablar (to speak)

Second conjugation (er) Verbs


comer (to eat)

Third conjugation (ir) Verbs


vivir (to live)
